From Times Wire Reports
A suburban Atlanta high school was evacuated because of a device that aroused suspicions and was later identified as a kitchen timer attached to a container of hand cream.
Investigators will review video from school surveillance cameras to find out who left the device in the hallway of Mount Zion High School, Clayton County police Capt. Jeff Turner said.
After students were evacuated and classes were canceled for the day, the police bomb squad and a hazardous materials team were called to remove the device.
