Grammys: Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Steve Van Zandt and Tony Kanal of No Doubt will perform a tribute to the late Joe Strummer and music of the Clash at the 45th annual Grammy Awards. The Feb. 23 music gala, which will be broadcast on CBS, also includes performances by Eminem, the Dixie Chicks, Ashanti, Coldplay, Yo-Yo Ma, James Taylor, Norah Jones and others.

More honors: “About Schmidt” has been selected as best film of the year by the London Film Critics Circle, whose membership comes from throughout the United Kingdom. But its star, Jack Nicholson, lost out to Michael Caine (“The Quiet American”) in the balloting for best actor, while Stockard Channing was named best actress for “The Business of Strangers.”
