FAA Broadens Airspace Curbs for Private Planes

The restricted airspace over the nation’s capital for private planes will expand in conjunction with the increase in the national terror threat level to orange, the Federal Aviation Administration announced.
Privately operated noncommercial planes will face restrictions under 18,000 feet in a 30-mile radius of Washington. The previous radius was 15 miles.
