Proposition 13 in No Need of a Rethink

Re: “Gov. Davis’ Budget Blueprint Lacks Nerve,” James Flanigan, Jan. 12:
All the investment advice that you have tried to impart to readers over many years was negated in one swoop with your recommendation to rethink the capping of property taxes in 1978.
Proposition 13 is the only groundswell citizen movement on record to soundly defeat politicians, as well as the unmitigated greed of those feeding at the public trough.
The limits established on annual tax increases protect every property owner in this state.
