Scientific-Atlanta Receives Subpoena

Scientific-Atlanta Inc. has received a subpoena from federal prosecutors in St. Louis as part of an investigation of cable-television operator Charter Communications Inc.
Scientific-Atlanta, which provides digital cable set-top boxes to Charter, said the documents relate to marketing agreements with Charter, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Lawrenceville, Ga.-based electronics company said it’s cooperating with the probe.
Scientific-Atlanta shares rose 17 cents to $12.19 on the NYSE. Charter shares slipped 4 cents to 94 cents on Nasdaq.
