Lance Broadus, a linebacker from Woodland Hills Taft, surprised Nebraska on Wednesday by signing with Oregon. He previously said he would sign with the Cornhuskers.
Several other Southland players were uncommitted until signing Wednesday, including linebackers Demetrius Jones of Dorsey and Ralph Pineda of L.A. Cathedral, who chose San Jose State; receiver Greg Chatman of Carson and two-way standout Johnny Walker of Lancaster Antelope Valley, who selected Colorado State, and Pasadena Poly cornerback Ryan Black, who opted for Northwestern.
