* JetBlue Airways Corp. said it will add flights from Long Beach Airport to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning Feb. 20 and June 26. An additional flight is planned for May 1 from Washington Dulles International Airport to Long Beach.
* Invitrogen Corp., the Carlsbad, Calif., maker of chemical kits for gene cloning and analysis, agreed to buy some assets of Cambridge, Mass.-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s PanVera for $95 million in cash.
* Tommy Hilfiger Corp. named Chief Executive Joel Horowitz chairman, replacing Tommy Hilfiger, the designer who started the company. Hilfiger will remain principal designer and will resume the role of honorary chairman, which he gave up in October after being named chairman.
