Mortgage Interest Rates Edge Higher

Rates on 30-year mortgages rose to an average 6.31% from 6.15% a week earlier, still near their record low of 5.98% posted in the week of Oct. 11, Freddie Mac said.
Fifteen-year mortgages also edged higher, to 5.70% from 5.56%, while one-year adjustable-rate mortgages inched up to an average 4.30% from 4.27%.
