2 Men Held in Burglary Targeting Rare Cats

Two men were in jail Thursday on suspicion of taking rare animals from the home of a cat breeder in northern San Diego County.
Oscar Gomez, 31, and Damian Nonte, 29, of Palmdale, and a woman are also suspected in other burglaries involving expensive Bengal cats in Los Angeles and Riverside counties.
Gomez, Nonte and Holland Ashley, 26, were arrested Saturday near Escondido after allegedly stealing two Bengals, valued at several thousand dollars each, from a Fallbrook breeder.
