San Bernardino Falls to Metro State

Patrick Mutombo had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead Metro State to a 65-48 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Wednesday in an NCAA Division II quarterfinal game at Evansville, Ind.
Metro State (27-6), located in Denver, advanced to a semifinal game tonight against Indiana (Pa.), a 78-72 winner over Northwest Missouri State. Bobby Burries led San Bernardino (28-2) with 15 points and five assists.

Hakim Warrick had 15 points and 14 rebounds as Syracuse defeated Richmond, 62-46, at Richmond, Va., to advance to the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament.
The Orangemen (23-11) will play the winner of tonight’s Ball State-South Carolina game on Tuesday night. Reggie Brown led Richmond (22-14) with 14 points.
At Memphis, Tenn., Dajuan Wagner had 24 points and nine assists as Memphis (24-9) rolled to an 80-69 victory over Brigham Young (18-12) in a second-round game. Memphis will play host to Tennessee Tech on Saturday.
