Man Who Killed Child Gets 31 Years to Life

A Santa Ana man convicted of murdering and molesting his girlfriend’s 5-year-old daughter was sentenced Friday to 31 years to life in prison.
Ricardo Ramirez Merentes, 21, was found guilty last month of single counts of murder, molestation and injury to a child which caused death.
