It’s Warhol, Not Art

Though the “Andy Warhol Retrospective” at the Museum of Contemporary Art “hasn’t created a mob scene” (“Warhol Draws Well at MOCA,” July 8), the Warhol myth still attracts crowds. Contrary to MOCA director Jeremy Strick’s remark that the exhibition is characterized by “extraordinary artistic quality,” however, I would argue that Warhol’s robotic output is the product of a profoundly disturbed personality and is not art by any objective definition of the term.
