Homeowners, Shea Homes Reach Settlement

Shea Homes and the Breakers at Bear Brand Homeowners Assn. have reached a confidential settlement after an Orange County Superior Court jury in June awarded nearly $7.8 million to the Laguna Niguel homeowners association for damages due to construction defects by Walnut-based Shea Homes.
The defects included mold and leaking roofs, decks and windows, according to the suit.
