Chopper Crash-Lands Near Airport; 2 Hurt

A helicopter crash-landed eight miles northwest of Van Nuys Airport on Tuesday, seriously injuring one of the two men aboard, officials said.
The cause of the 3 p.m. crash was not immediately known. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate, officials said.
The aircraft reportedly was owned by Group 3 Aviation, a training school at the airport.
Both men were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where one was listed in serious condition. The other suffered burns to his hands.
