From Times Wire Reports
Former U.S. President Clinton said his administration threatened to destroy North Korea’s nuclear facilities when the Asian nation was developing weapons-grade plutonium in the 1990s.
“They were planning to produce six to eight nuclear weapons per year with plutonium extracted from power plants,” he said in Rotterdam. “We actually drew up plans to attack North Korea and to destroy their reactors, and we told them we would attack” unless they stopped.
North Korea has said it will restart a reactor that could produce weapons-grade plutonium.
