Man Shot Several Times by Unknown Assailant

A 26-year-old Oxnard man was in stable condition Saturday after being shot several times in the Lemonwood Park area in east Oxnard, police officials said.
The victim, whom police would not name, was taken by an unknown person to St. John’s Regional Medical Center at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Police Cmdr. Steve Blanchard said.
He said the victim was not cooperating with authorities, other than to say he was shot earlier Saturday in a residential area north of Channel Islands Boulevard and east of Highway 1.
