Assassinations, the use of civilians as human shields, indiscriminate military force that has left hundreds of civilians dead, collective punishment in the form of draconian 24-hour curfews and closures, a 35-year military occupation that has left over half of all Palestinians living in poverty and half of all their children malnourished. At what point will our leaders realize that far from being a strategic ally, Israel is our greatest liability when it comes to preserving U.S. security and credibility, and the biggest obstacle to efforts to achieve a stable Middle East.
