Choices for Governor
Each day in the paper and on television I read and see about only two of the six candidates for governor. There are a large number of unsatisfied Californians complaining about the actions of the two dominant-party candidates. If we are to believe that the media offer unbiased reporting or promotion of candidates for office, then why are the other people who have qualified for the ballot given no coverage? Issues such as mass transit, pollution, education, the budget and campaign finance reform have more than two sides. If the rationale is the other candidates’ low poll numbers, then coverage may enhance them and provide Californians with a choice.
