Imitation Impressionist

A final word on Danny Gans (“Las Vegas Loves Who?” by Paul Brownfield, July 28).
In advance of our much-anticipated trip to Vegas, we booked second-row center seats at about $100 apiece for Gans’ show based on Las Vegas newspaper coverage that bills him as “Entertainer of the Year.” Instead, what we got was 90 minutes of second-rate entertainment. Snippets of songs and banter with band buddies do not a Las Vegas show make. Impersonations of obscure celebrities had us stumped.
If only his talent were as great as his self-esteem.
