The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District will hold a public hearing Sept. 5 to review plans by a local developer to donate vacant land to the district and apply for a state tax credit.
Poe Investment Co., a developer that owns property in Simi Valley and Agoura, intends to donate 149 acres of rolling hillside to the district, provided it receives the tax break. The property is near the Brandeis-Bardin Institute and adjacent to the district’s Gateway Equestrian Center.
The 6 p.m. public hearing will be held in the board room of the district’s Sycamore Drive Community Center, 1692 Sycamore Drive.
