Boesch, Thieme Earn Area Code Honors

Brennan Boesch of North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake High was selected the top hitter and Konrad Thieme of Westlake Village Westlake was chosen the top catcher of the recently completed Area Code Baseball Games in Long Beach.

The other area players ranked among the top 50 by scouts were: utility players Joshua Cowles of Redlands East Valley and D.J. Lewis of San Fernando; outfielders Daniel Perales of Santa Ana Mater Dei and Jim Rapoport of West Hills Chaminade; catcher Daric Barton of Huntington Beach Marina; and pitchers Jason Cable of Palmdale, Cody Campbell and Jason Corder of Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley, and Jared Hughes of Santa Margarita.
