SEATTLE — A judge removed a veteran attorney from a murder case Wednesday after she allegedly was seen having sex with the defendant in a jail visiting room.
Jail guards reported they discovered Theresa Olson, 43, having sex with Sebastian Burns, 26, who is facing trial in the slayings of a couple and their daughter.
Jail officials barred Olson from the jail and filed a formal grievance Tuesday with the state bar because of alleged “inappropriate physical contact” with a prisoner.
The Washington Bar Assn. opened a disciplinary investigation Wednesday that could bring suspension or disbarment, spokeswoman Judith Berrett said.
