Video Game Label to Target Older Players
Vivendi Universal’s video game unit is launching a publishing label to target older audiences. Black Label Games seeks to tap into a growing group of gamers in their 20s and 30s.
Since “Grand Theft Auto 3,” an action game with a Mafia story line, became last year’s unexpected runaway hit, publishers are focusing more on edgier games.
Black Label will publish three mature titles this year, including “The Thing,” “Enclave” and “The Lord of the Rings.”
