9 Indicted in Fatal Wedding Hall Collapse

Nine people have been indicted on manslaughter charges in the collapse of a wedding hall in Jerusalem that killed 23 people, Israel’s Justice Ministry announced.
The indictment alleges that Eli Ron, inventor of a cost-cutting construction method called Pal-Kal, was responsible for the collapse of the Versailles hall on May 24, 2001. It says Ron was warned before the building was constructed that his method was unsafe.
