Encinitas--Local restaurants will dish up specialties for the Taste of Main Street on Aug. 15. Live music will accompany visitors on their culinary mission down Main Street (Highway 101). 6-9 p.m. A limited number of “taste credentials” available for $15 (includes samples at 31 locales). Cedarville--Venture to Modoc County for the Last Frontier Fair Aug. 15-18. The old-fashioned fest has rides, equestrian events, livestock, entertainment and a parade (Aug. 18).
