Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County is holding its next volunteer orientation at 10 a.m. Saturday at a subdivision the organization is building in Piru.
The nonprofit group, with a current roster of about 350 volunteers, has built 24 homes in Piru, Camarillo, Fillmore, Oak View and Thousand Oaks and has repaired more than 500 dwellings in Ventura County.
Habitat for Humanity is currently building a home in Santa Paula, and construction has begun on the 22-home Piru subdivision. Saturday’s one-hour orientation will be held in a warehouse at the site, at the corner of Sacramento and Main streets.
