Two Schools of Thought About T.J.’s Vacation

Times’ sports readers may have found themselves with some extra time on their hands this week.
Where did these bonus minutes come from, you ask? Were they borne of seasonal change--the lengthened daylight hours of summer? Nope.
T.J. Simers is back from vacation; Page Two is again a quick read. Just the Morning Briefing, television schedules and the Hot Corner.
Some might think three weeks of summer vacation for a self-obsessed hack columnist a pretty good deal. I certainly enjoyed it. I submit to Bill Dwyre that he should consider 49 more. Paid, if you wish. Paying him not to write seems to make more sense.

I am inquiring about T.J. Simers. He has been away for a considerable time and he is missed.
He has a great sense of humor and I miss hearing about his daughter and fiance. Please don’t send him away.
