Funeral Scheduled for Palmdale Football Player

A funeral for Palmdale High football player George McIntyre will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Growing Valley Baptist Church in Lancaster.
A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at True Vine Gospel Church in Palmdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to the George McIntyre Memorial Fund, set up at Washington Mutual Bank in Palmdale.
McIntyre, who would have been a senior this fall, drowned Friday while swimming at Littlerock Reservoir in the Angeles National Forest.
