A sport utility vehicle crashed into a car at a busy Beverly Hills intersection Wednesday night, overturned and struck two pedestrians, killing one and critically injuring the other, police said.
The SUV’s driver and two passengers and the car’s driver suffered minor injuries.
The name of the pedestrian who was killed was not released. The other is in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The collision at Olympic Boulevard and Spaulding Drive occurred at 6:44 p.m., said Lt. Ed Kreins.
The SUV was westbound on Olympic when it struck the car, which was “negotiating a left-hand turn in front of the SUV,” Kreins said. “The SUV broadsided the car and then overturned.”
