Cabrillo Music Theatre concludes its season with that endearing nugget of American musical theater “The Sound of Music.” The Rodgers & Hammerstein classic tells the story of the famed Von Trapp Family singers, who had to flee Austria when Hitler and the Nazis took over. Playing the role of the guitar-toting nun Maria will be Saffran Ashford, who began her professional career at age 9 with the St. Louis Municipal Opera. The production will include live orchestral accompaniment.
