Some Members Switch Sides

WASHINGTON — Fifteen Democrats and four Republicans crossed party lines during voting for legislation to expand the ability of religious organizations to participate in federally funded social programs.
Democrats who supported the legislation were:
Cramer of Alabama, Condit of California, Lipinski and Phelps of Illinois, Lucas of Kentucky, Shows of Mississippi, Skelton of Missouri, LaFalce of New York, McIntyre of North Carolina, Hall and Traficant of Ohio, Clement and Gordon of Tennessee, Hall of Texas, Mollohan of West Virginia.
Republicans opposed were:
Stump of Arizona, Manzullo of Illinois, Morella of Maryland, Paul of Texas.
