Remi King, 27, of Los Angeles was sentenced to life in prison without parole Thursday in the 1997 killing of a Burbank man.
A Van Nuys jury convicted King of first-degree murder in June for fatally shooting Dario Torres, 32, during a robbery attempt.
King and an accomplice, Glynn Ward, tried to rob Torres and a female companion as they sat in a parked car along Mulholland Drive. They shot Torres as he drove away.
Ward, 24, was convicted of similar charges last year and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
