A 22-year-old man wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting in Louisville, Ky., turned himself in Monday to sheriff’s detectives in Palmdale, authorities said.
Amir Rashard Dukes, 22, is wanted on suspicion of assault and wanton endangerment in connection with the May 31 shooting, which left an 18-year-old man partially paralyzed, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Det. Christopher Keeling.
The incident may have been gang-related, a Louisville police spokeswoman said.
Dukes’ mother apparently talked him into turning himself in Monday night. He is in Los Angeles County Jail awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
