More Golden ‘Escapes’

Hooray for Barbara Ormonde, who criticized the budget of the Weekend Escape to Ojai (“Going for the Gold on Vacation Prices,” Letters, June 17). She has it absolutely correct. These columns are not for the readers I know. Regarding the $978 budget for a two-night trip to June Lake (“Hooked on June Lake,” Weekend Escape, June 17): There are many fine ways to enjoy the June Lake area without such expenses.
