From Times Wire Reports
Rescuers plan to try again this weekend to save a rare right whale that has a rope lodged in its jaw.
The 50-ton, 50-foot whale has an infection caused by the entangled fishing line, and its health has been deteriorating in the four weeks since scientists began monitoring the creature.
The National Marine Fisheries Services and the Center for Coastal Studies have tried to sedate the whale and made other attempts to remove the line.
Rescuers plan another trip today to where the whale has been swimming off Cape Cod.
