Orange County Football All-Star Game Tonight

Huntington Beach Edison High football Coach Dave White can’t escape the memory.
His Chargers were seven seconds from the Sunset League title last November when Anaheim Esperanza’s Temitope Sonuyi scored the winning touchdown on a four-yard run.
“I have some nightmares of him, that’s for sure,” White said.
White hopes his team can stop Sonuyi when he coaches the South squad in the Orange County all-star football game at Orange Coast College at 7:15 tonight.
Sonuyi, headed for MIT, leads a North roster largely devoid of big names. Its biggest stars, other than Sonuyi, are Oregon-bound offensive tackle Ian Reynoso and defensive tackle Mike Patterson (USC), both from Los Alamitos.
The South roster includes at least six players headed for Pacific-10 Conference schools, among them Edison running back Darryl Poston and Mission Viejo quarterback Billy Hart, both going to USC.
The North, which won last year’s game, 13-7, holds a 21-17-3 lead in the series. Tickets are $9.
