Slain Man Was Canadian Visitor

A man found shot to death in an alley was a student and bodybuilder from Canada who had come to Southern California with friends, police said Thursday.
Josip Bralic, 22, was found July 5 by city workers behind a Discount Tire store on West Highland Avenue. Police theorized he had been shot elsewhere and dumped there.
Bralic was not identified until late Wednesday after his sister filed a missing-person report in Vancouver. According to the report, Bralic had traveled to a Baldwin Park hotel with friends in either late June or early July, said Sgt. Steve Johnson, a spokesman for the Fullerton Police Department. The friends returned to Vancouver without Bralic, saying he had disappeared, Johnson said.
Police investigators plan to fly to Vancouver to interview the friends.
