UCLA (6-3, 3-3) at No. 7 Washington (8-1, 5-1)
* Kickoff: 4 p.m. Saturday at Husky Stadium, Seattle, Channel 7.
* Story line: To the bowls, but which ones? A Washington victory keeps Husky hopes alive for a Rose Bowl berth or an at-large bid to a bowl championship series game. A UCLA victory virtually assures the Bruins of a bowl game in Hawaii, but a loss could edge the Bruins closer to the Sun Bowl in El Paso.
* UCLA update: The Bruins are averaging 36 points a game in the five games since quarterback Cory Paus returned to the starting lineup. Tailback DeShaun Foster shrugged off the pain of his still-healing broken hand to rush for 159 yards last week, most since the season opener.
* Washington update: Quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo leads comebacks weekly, most recently a 15-point comeback in the fourth quarter last weekend. The Huskies have scored 102 points in their last three games.
* Edge to Washington: The Bruins knocked Washington out of the Rose Bowl race last year, but history won’t repeat itself this year. Against a UCLA team that struggles far from home, the Huskies should extend their home winning streak to eight games.
* The line: Washington by 7.
