Laguna Hills Shuts Out Moorpark

Ajay Allen scored from one yard with 1 minute 43 seconds to play in the first quarter, putting Laguna Hills on the way to a 21-0 victory against host Moorpark Thursday.

Allen rushed for 81 yards in 14 carries. Aaron Garcia completed 15 of 27 passes for 114 yards for Moorpark. Garcia, a junior, had one pass intercepted.

Moorpark (4-5-1) was held to minus-two yards rushing and 112 yards of total offense.

Late in the first quarter, a bad snap on a Moorpark punt resulted in a safety and a 9-0 lead for Laguna Hills (4-6). Matt Chandler scored from one yard in the third quarter to extend the Hawks’ advantage to 15-0. Laguna Hills capped the scoring on a 31-yard pass play from Chris Johnson to Brian Anderson.

Johnson completed eight of 11 passes for 107 yards.
