L.A. Baptist 27, Brentwood 20--Despite rolling up 513 yards, the Knights (8-2) struggled to beat Brentwood (2-7) at Alemany High.
L.A. Baptist didn’t clinch the victory until Brentwood quarterback Jackson Cohen threw an incomplete pass on fourth down at the 50-yard line with 16 seconds to play.
The Knights, who will enter the Division XII playoffs next week as the No. 3 team from the Alpha League, were led by quarterback Steven Graham.
Graham completed 20 of 30 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns. He has thrown for 2,233 yards and 21 touchdowns this season.
Andrew Petersen had six catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns and Adam Weiss had eight catches for 83 yards and a touchdown for L.A. Baptist.
The Knights’ Lord Cole rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown in 17 carries.
