Santa Clara High Adds Music Program

Santa Clara High School has added a music program to its curriculum.
Music teacher Jane Bell will lead the program, which will include a 12-member chorus and a winter holiday performance. Founded at the beginning of the fall semester, the program is open to all students at the Saviers Road campus.
Bell, a longtime Ventura County resident, has been an active participant at the high school for many years and has served as the pastoral musician at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Oxnard for the past 18 years.
A vocalist and flutist, Bell plans to teach vocals and harmonies to students at the private Catholic high school and will lead the student vocalists in a Christmas holiday concert.
The music program is the latest addition among several newly instituted programs at the high school--which is marking its centennial this year--including drama, journalism and computer science.
