The La Palma Days Coordinating Committee has announced that the theme of this year’s event will be “A California Celebration” in honor of the state’s sesquicentennial.
The logo for the event will feature a drawing of the state and a palm tree superimposed over the American flag. The logo also features the word “Celebration” spelled in Spanish, Arabic and Korean to reflect the diverse cultures of the city.
The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with a parade along Walker Street followed by activities at Central Park, 7821 Walker St., including a laser light show, petting zoo, pony rides and exhibits. Information: (714) 690-3350.
