Ojai Valley Youth Foundation will hold its first Ojai Tennis Marathon from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The event is open to anyone up to the challenge of 50 games of tennis in one day. It will be held on courts at Libbey Park, at the corner of East Ojai Avenue and Signal Street, and at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club.
Participants are asked to secure sponsors who will pledge $1 a game to help the foundation raise $65,000 for programs.
Ojai resident Stacy Margolin Potter, once ranked 18th among world tennis players and a seven-time winner of the Ojai Tennis Tournament, will host the event and a barbecue dinner afterward at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club.
A free tennis clinic for youths ages 5 and up will be held in Libbey Park prior to the marathon.
