Tark’s Son Applies for Titan Job

Danny Tarkanian, an assistant for his father, Jerry, at Fresno State, said Monday he has applied for the Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball coaching job.

Tarkanian said he has not been contacted by anyone on the school’s search committee, which was appointed last week.

“I’m interested in the position,” Tarkanian said. “I always thought it was a good situation. I like that area.”

Tarkanian, 38, played for his father at Nevada Las Vegas from 1981-84 before graduating from law school. He worked as an attorney before joining his father’s coaching staff at Fresno State in 1995.
