The City Council will consider rejecting a $22,680 construction bid for modifying the backstop area at the Norm Ross Sports Facility.
Council members approved the project in November, hoping that chain-link fencing will prevent foul balls from hitting nearby businesses on Beach Boulevard.
Econo Fence Co. was the only company to bid on the project.
City Manager Terry Matz said he hoped to have the project completed for about $10,000, the amount previously assessed by engineers.
