The California Coastal Commission has postponed its April hearing on development of the Bolsa Chica mesa. The hearing may be conducted in June, said Shirley S. Dettloff, a councilwoman and coastal commissioner. Commission staff need more time to prepare a report on the plan to build more than 1,200 homes on the mesa, which is surrounded by protected wetlands.
