Placentia-Yorba Linda school board President Craig Olson made a formal request to the City Council on Tuesday, asking that the city and school district work together on a plan that would turn McFadden Park back into an elementary school site.

Olson suggested a joint agreement where the city and school district could share the costs of the school and the use of its ball fields and other facilities. Council members said they had concerns about the proposal but were willing to have city staff discuss it with district officials.
