Savvy spellers from the Garden Grove Unified School District’s 45 elementary schools will compete Thursday at 9 a.m. The districtwide spelling bee for fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders will be at Peters Elementary School, 13162 Newhope St. The winner and three runners-up will receive plaques and trophies for their schools.
