Say what you will about Zagat’s rankings, many foodies believe that the best thing about the guides is their complete and accurate list of restaurant phone numbers, addresses and (hallelujah!) cross streets. Even better, the group now puts out extra-handy fold-out city maps, which list many top restaurants. Granted, the Los Angeles edition takes a rather limited view of this great sprawling city (including just Santa Monica/Westside/Beverly Hills) but, after all, it is only one map--and it costs less than some valet parkers.
Los Angeles 2000 Zagat Map, $5.95, at bookstores or available from the Zagat Web site at https://www.zagat.com.
