Retro Hideaway

I loved “Retro Palm Springs” (Feb. 27). You missed a favorite of mine, the San Marino Hotel. This cozy 17-room inn was also designed by William Cody. It is an example of the Wright school of architecture, with extensive use of glass and stone walls. Each unit is uniquely furnished, and the artist-wife of the innkeeper-owner has several of her original pieces in each room. It is built in a U shape around a pool and garden area, with the San Jacinto Mountains as a backdrop. Quiet and delightful.
